Store Associate / Customer Service Associate

New The UPS Store – Troutman, NC
Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities

We are preparing to open a new The UPS Store location in Troutman, NC and are looking for friendly, dependable and motivated people to join our team.

As a Store Associate, you'll help customers with shipping, packaging, printing, copying, mailbox services and other business needs. No previous shipping or printing experience is required—we are looking for people with a positive attitude, strong customer-service skills and a willingness to learn.

Because this is a brand-new location, you'll have the opportunity to join the team from the beginning and learn a variety of valuable retail, customer-service and business skills.

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Help customers select appropriate shipping and packaging options.
• Process shipments accurately using store computer systems.
• Pack customer items carefully and professionally.
• Assist with Amazon and other return transactions.
• Help customers with printing, copying, scanning, faxing and document services.
• Learn to operate printers, copiers, finishing equipment and other store technology.
• Assist with business cards, flyers, brochures, posters and other print products.
• Support mailbox customers and other store services.
• Answer phones and respond professionally to customer questions.
• Process payments and handle cash accurately.
• Keep the store clean, organized and ready for customers.
• Receive, organize and manage packages and supplies.
• Help maintain inventory and notify management when supplies are needed.
• Work cooperatively with other team members during busy periods.
• Learn new services and systems as the business grows.

Previous experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, printing, shipping, office services, banking or another customer-facing environment is helpful but not required.

The position involves working in an active retail environment. Associates should be able to:

• Remain on their feet for much of the workday.
• Regularly handle packages and supplies.
• Safely lift 50 lb and move items consistent with the requirements of the position.
• Use computers, printers, copiers and other store equipment.
• Work some Saturdays and maintain dependable attendance.

Both full-time and part-time schedules may be available.

Availability and scheduling needs will be discussed during the interview process.

Previous The UPS Store experience is not required .

We're looking for people who enjoy learning. An associate who demonstrates strong performance, reliability and leadership may have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities as the business grows.

Expected starting pay: approximately $14–$19 per hour , depending on experience, skills, availability and responsibilities.

Candidates with directly relevant printing, shipping or strong retail/customer-service experience may qualify toward the higher end of the range.

We're building the team for a new store, so strong employees will have opportunities to grow with the business.

Potential progression may include:

Store Associate → Senior Associate → Shift Lead → Assistant Manager
